William Guy Hall, 80, a res­ident of Rt. 1, Galax, Baywood section, died at his home Wednesday, May 31, 1961. He was born in Grayson County January 7, 1881, a son of the late George Hall and wife, Mrs. Betty Carr Hall.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie S. Hall, one son, Preston Hall, Vancouver, Washington, three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Wilson, Raymond, Washington, Mrs. Mabel Lipponcot, South Bend, Washington, and Mrs. Eunice Farnam, Orchards, Washington, three step-sons, Gar­land Sawyer and Glenn Sawyers, both of Galax, and Oakley Sawyers, Hillsville two step-daughters, Mrs. Gladys Vaughan, Galax, and Mrs. Goldie Blevins, Baywood, and three sisters, Mrs. Nannie [Reeves], Columbia, Ky. Mrs. Mallie Morton, Galax, and Mrs. Lizzie [Cannoy], Martins­ville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 10 a. m. at Beech Grove Baptist Church, near Baywood, by the Rev. C. H. McKnight, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Bradley Mays, a former pastor. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, near Independence. The body will be removed from Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, to the church one hour before the services.
