MALINDA KENNEDY DIED WEDNESDAY---Funeral Services for Aged Hill County Woman Will Probably Be Held Thursday----Mrs. Malinda Kennedy passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Irene Blocker, one mile west of Peoria, at 9:15 o'clock Wednesday morning June 1, aged 70 years, 1 month and 15 days.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed, but services will probably be held some time tomorrow.
Mrs. Kennedy was born in Fayette County, Texas, April 17, 1862. She came to Hill County in 1905, locating at Aquilla and had resided in the county since, and for the past three years had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Blocker, in the Peoria community.
She was married to T. L. Kennedy, Jan. 4, 1882.
Mrs. Kennedy joined the Baptist church at Pleasant View seventeen years ago and had held her membership there since. Surviving are her husband; one brother, A.E. Behringer of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. B. Daughtry of Elgin, and Mrs. May Goode of Lexington and the following children: J.L., H., and Tom Kennedy of Peoria; Wesson Kennedy of Royston, Texas; Mrs. Irene Blocker of Peoria, Mrs. Ella Paschal of Cleburne, Mrs. Lela Rape and Mrs. Gladys Waits of Blum."
