Shirley met Darrel Hegge and they married on July 8, 1959. They traveled until 1967, when they settled in Yakima to raise a family. Shirley worked at the Ross Plant Division of Tree Top in Selah, retiring after 21 years.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, Bingo and going to the casino. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. The family loved Shirley's homemade bread and spaghetti.
Shirley is survived in life by her husband, Darrel Hegge; children, Viola DeAnda, Debbie (Keven) Potter, Danny Hegge, Mark Hegge and Darrin (Di) Hegge; mother, Eulene Greer; sisters, Donna (Tom) Estep, Pam (Jim) Holland, Bonnie (Jim) Hultz, Peggy Eaton; brother, Charles (Cathy) Adams; 10 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 8 step great-grandchildren and several in-laws and close friends.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Edward Chambliss, granddaughter, Misty Hegge, and stepfather, John Greer.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel with burial following at West Hills Memorial Park. Keith and Keith Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
