REEDSVILLE - C. Clyde Barley, 84, of 220 Pearl St., Reedsville, died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born Sept. 23, 1915, in Everett, he was a son of the late Charles C. and Mary (Manspeaker) Barley. His wife, Dorothy (Beward) Barley of 220 Pearl St., Reedsville, whom he married Sept. 4, 1940, survives.

Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Edward (Mary Lee) Mann, New Holland, and the Mrs. Rev. Owen (Paula) Walter, York; sisters, Mrs. Seth (Josephine) Folsom, Augusta, Ga., and Sybil Colvin, Havertown; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

A supervisor for Sperry-New Holland, Belleville, he retired in 1977.

He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Reedsville Lutheran Church, as well as the F&AM Lodge 292, Richard, Va.; Royal Arch Chapter 196, Lewistown; Juniata Valley Council 64, Lewistown Commandery 26; Tall Cedars of Lebanon 88; Jaffa Temple Altoona,; Jaffa Band for 40 years; BPOE Lodge 663; past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star 283; and Lewistown Shrine Club.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery, Thompsontown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19141.
