Funeral arrangements are pending at the Evenson Funeral Home for Alfred Milton Cobane, native Ellensburg resident who died last evening at the Ellensburg General Hospital at the age of 61 years.

Born in Ellensburg, April 14, 1902, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cobane, he had lived here all his life. He enlisted during World War I at the age of 15. He married Lola Ellison in Tacoma, December 31, 1931 and for the past three years they had resided at 214 Dennis Street. He worked for the past 19 years as a bull chain operator at the Boise-Cascade Mill. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and of the Eagles and Moos Lodges.

Cobane is survived by his wife, Lola, a daughter, Terry Cobane; his mother, Mrs. Grace Cobane, all of Ellensburg; three brothers, Sam Cobane of Ellensburg, Jess Cobane of Spokane and Tom Cobane of Lynden and a sister, Mrs. John Jaramillo of Roslyn as well as a stepson, Mike Hackathorn, serving with the U. S. Navy at Memphis, Tennessee.
