CLEMMONS, NC ~ Mrs. Stacy Iowa Boles Thomas, 89, of Clemmons passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born January 16, 1926, in Stokes Co. to John Henry and Bertha Calhoun Boles. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Thomas, Jr., and a son, Charles David Thomas. Surviving are two daughters: Doris Lawrence and husband Jim of Phoenix, AZ, and Joan McCauley and husband Steve of Mebane; two sons: Bill Thomas and wife DeEtta of Clemmons and George Mark Thomas and wife Sandra, of King; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Thomas of Lexington; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Tracy Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church in Quaker Gap. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.(Winston-Salem Journal (NC) ~ February 11, 2015)
