(Caution: 15 Feb 2013) It has recently come to my attention that John William Dugan was not buried in Payne Cemetery in Bond County Illinois, but moved with his last wife, Hannah, to Arkansas and Kansas. A military marker for his service with the 50th Reg ILL Vol Inf during the Civil War was ordered to be placed in Black Oak Cemetery in Winslow, Washington Co. Arkansas. Refer to Memorial # 23869144. There is also a memorial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Chetopa Labette Co. Kansas where many family members are buried. Refer to Find a Grave Memorial # 44151891. Black Oak Cemetery in Arkansas is the most likely burial place.
