Betty Gwinnett Bradford died early Wednesday morning. Betty was born in Colquitt, GA, on August 13, 1931. She graduated from Miller County High School and attended Berry College where she met her late husband of 59 years, Charles Bradford. June third would be their 60th anniversary together. Betty was a wonderful homemaker and will be remembered for her cooking abilities that she learned through working with her aunt at a boarding house and Maes Diner in Colquitt when she was a little girl. She raised three boys in between moving seven times due to job opportunities for Charles. They settled in Conyers, GA in 1970 where they joined Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed Sunday School, meeting new friends and singing in the choir. During retirement, Betty enjoyed traveling with Charles and friends around the US and several countries abroad. Betty is survived by three sons: Jim, Rick and David all of Conyers, and five grandchildren. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Mt Zion Baptist Church and the funeral will be at 1:00 Friday afternoon with her lying in state one hour prior to the service.
