Mrs. O.W. Argo, 1706 South Ervay street, received news yesterday morning of the death of her sister, Mrs. John Esten Cooke, of Rockdale. The funeral will take place at Rockdale Monday morning. Mrs. Cooke was widely known and esteemed in Texas, particularly among the newspaper people, her husband being editor and proprietor of the Rockdale Reporter, also president of the Texas Press Association, having been elected to the latter position by the convention recently held at Houston.
