Mr. Vernon B. Anderson, age 87, of Danielsville, GA passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Glennville, GA he was the son of the late Rudy Anderson and Mattie Mae Gleason Anderson and was the widower of Joan Whitehead Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII.

He is survived by his son, Terry Anderson of Reidsville; Daughter, Jenny Anderson of Savannah; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Beatrice and Walter Anderson of Glennville, Vadna and Horace Stanfield of Lakeland, Fl. Grandchildren, Wendy Goodman and John as well as Ginger, Wendell, Austin, Amber and Danielle. Great-Grandchildren, Joni Anderson, Emily Tucker and August Anderson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside memorial services will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday, May 1, 2010 from the Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Glennville with the Rev. Bryan Anderson
officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the US Army.
