Date of Commission was June 21
1861(Capt AQM).
He went where ever the 18th went
for his 4 years. On Sept 15, 1864
he was assigned to duty as
Assistant Brigade Quarter Master,
a position he held the rest of
the war. This was the same Brigade
(James Henry Lane's)that the
18th NC was attached.
He was also an original member
of the Wilmington Light Infantry
prior to the Civil War.
