Ernest O. Soltwedel, 61, died this
morning at his home at 3006 River
Road, following an extended illness.
He was a life resident of this area
and was a farmer. He was born Feb.
27, 1903, in Muscatine county, the
son of Julius and Ellen Ellers
Soltwedel.
Surviving are two brothers, Ray and
Vernon Soltwedel, both of Muscatine;
and a sister, Mrs. Wilma Rollins of
Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his par-
ents, one brother, Otto, and a sis-
ter, Norma.
The body is now at the Ralph J.
Wittich funeral home, where friends
may call after 7 this evening. Rev.
Gerald Fillman will conduct servi-
ces at the funeral home at 2 p.m.
Thursday. Interment will be at
Memorial Park.
