Gary was a member of Newport Dove Church in Elm, PA. He was a 1965 graduate of Manheim Central High School where he was active in the FFA program. He also attended Elizabethtown College. During the Vietnam War, he served 1-W service in Brethren Volunteer Service at New Windsor, MD. He was a farmer in East Donegal Twp. and a self-employed truck driver in his earlier years. He enjoyed traveling with his family in their motor home. A highlight for Gary was a trip he took with his family last year to the western United States.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two children, Jason T. Lefever and Jessica F. Lefever, both at home; two siblings, James R. Lefever of Lancaster, and Rebecca S., wife of Michael D. Garman, of Lititz, PA; and 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph S. Lefever and John T. Lefever; and a niece, Kathryn J. Garman.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing. Interment will be in Chiques Cemetery, Manheim. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
