Mrs. Sarah Lucy Howes, whose serious illness was noted in The Star yesterday, died last evening at 9:40 o’clock at her residence, 3410 Q Street. Death was due to general debility. Mrs. Howes was over seventy-eight years of age and was well known in this section, where she resided for the greater portion of her life. Her husband and two grown children – Mr. Harry Howes of the Volta bureau and Mrs. Swindells, wife of Lieut. John Swindells of the Seventh Precinct, survive here. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon. Rev. Father Cahill of Trinity Church will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
