John A. "Boots" Edgar, 67, a former resident of Fort Scott, Kan., and more recently of Wichita, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the VA Regional Medical Center Hospice in Wichita, Kan. He was born March 13, 1944, in Bremerton, Wash., the son of Clarence Edgar and Viola Ruth Nicolson Edgar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Viola Ruth Edgar and a brother, Wesley Edgar.
