Wanda Mae (Kresge) Boatwright, 87, Lee's Summit, MO, passed away Monday, October 18, 2004. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004, with funeral services at 11 a.m., on Thursday, October 21, 2004. Both will be at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, I435 and Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO, 64131. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 6700 Antioch Rd., Shawnee Mission, KS, 66204. Wanda was born February 25, 1917, in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of Southwest High School, and Columbia College, Columbia, MO. She married Gerald E. Boatwright on August 10, 1940. She was a homemaker through out the mid-1960's, at which time she was employed by the IRS, where she retired in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO, and a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey A. Kresge and Evelyn Garrison Kresge, her husband "Jay", her sister Vivian Wilkins, and two brothers, Harvey A. Kresge, Jr., and William Kresge. She is survived by her daughters Joan McLain, Peculiar, MO, and Kathy Joyce and son-in-law John, Leawood; grandchildren John McLain, Katy McLain, Maggie Joyce, and Kelly Joyce; sisters-in-law Evelyn Catts, Vivian Davidson, Juanda Tamasi, and Eloree Baldwin; and many nieces and nephews and their families. She had many friends from Bridge Clubs, IRS Retirement Group, John Knox neighbors, and her church. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her
