Death Takes psychologist Dr. Chapman
Dr. Harold M. Chapman, prominent Dallas psychologist and former principal of Bradfield Elementary School in Highland Park, died Sunday.
Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Higland Park Methodist Church. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Chapman, who lived at 2801 Amherst, received masters degrees from Southern Methodist University and Columbia University. He received a doctorate from the University of Houston.
He was a former director of psychological services at SMU and had more recently been in private practic of psychology at Snider Plaza.
From 1961 to 1963, he was in Lagos, Nigeria, helping the Nigerian government develop psychological testing programs for prospective government employes.
He was a member of the Hillcrest Masonic Lodge and Highland Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Judy Chapman; a daughter, Mrs Janet Thompson of Dallas; a brother, Joe Chapman of San Antonio; and three sisters, Mrs. Ann Leach of McKinney, Mrs. A. J. Wallace of Mount Vernon, Ind., and Mrs. Georgia C. Prins of Dallas.
