Ellen Sue Thompson, 65, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 due to complications following surgery.

She was born February 1, 1946 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Everett and Ellen Egbert Adkins.

Sue married James W. Thompson on December 1, 1962, and was later divorced.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She loved crocheting, quilting, crafting, gardening, teaching children, spending time with her special friends Buster and Jack, and restoring her '57 Chevy. She delighted in her family and friends, and will forever remain in our hearts.

She is survived by daughter, Pattie Sue Adkins, Yorba Linda, CA; son Christopher (Bernice) Thompson, Springville; son-in-law Mark Edmunds, Layton; brothers, Robert Val (Sherry) Adkins, Clinton; Everette Dee (Maria) Adkins, Yuma, AZ; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son James Todd Thompson, daughter Shelly Edmunds, and sister Christine Williams.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.

Her family will miss her greatly, and thank all who have shown their love and compassion. Thank you also to the medical professionals for the respect you gave to Sue.
