FALLBROOK - Newton L. Calhoun, 87, died Monday, May 13, 2002.
Born July 2, 1914 in Eldon, Iowa, he lived in Fallbrook for 46 years. He owned a dental practice in Fallbrook for many years.
He was a dentist, serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Calhoun is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vera M. Calhoun of Fallbrook; sons Newton L. Calhoun III of Henderson, Nev., and John F. Calhoun of Fallbrook; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary Chapel.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1620 S. Stagecoach Lane in Fallbrook. Interment will follow at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations to Fallbrook Hospital Hospice, 624 E. Elder St., Fallbrook, Christ the King Lutheran Church, in memory of Newton L. Calhoun, or People to People, 140 W. Mission, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
