Olen Lee Jackson, 79, of Route 5, Huntsville, died June 23 at his home. Born
October 15, 1896, at Aurora, he was the son of John and Delia Spurlock
Jackson, a member of the Church of Christ, a retired farmer and a veteran of
World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace Garrett Jackson of the home; one son,
C. J. Jackson, Huntsville; and one daughter, Mrs. Ila Jean Drake, Monroe,
La.; six sisters, Mrs. Bertha Ledbetter, Fresno, Ca., Miss Ethel Jackson and
Mrs. Madge Taylor, Huntsville, Mrs. M. O. Markham, Omak, Wash., Mrs. Bea
Cannaday, Clinton and Mrs. Pauline Thacker of Pettigrew; four grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 26, at 2 p.m. in the Brashears
Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Gage officiating. Interment was in the
Aurora Cemetery under the direction of Brashears.

Pallbearers were Tom Jackson, Claude Murphy, Preston Thomas, Lloyd Davis,
Ralph Holland and Elmer Haskins.
