MRS CALFEE DEAD
Passed Away Last Night at Her Home on Adams Street.
Mrs. Calfee, wife of James Russell Calfee, died last night at the family residence, 148 Adams Street. Mrs. Calfee had been an invalid for years, but her last illness was of short duration, having taken ill only about ten days ago. Mrs. Calfee was in her sixty-fifth year. She was the daughter of the late John C. Bailey, a pioneer settler of this section of Mercer County, and her entire life had been spent in this section. She was a member of the Christian Church, in which faith she was consistent until her death, which occurred about 11 o'clock last night. Mrs. Calfee was one whom her whole acquaintance can say that she was always true, faithful, kind and was never heard to speak evil of anyone. She was well-known throughout this county, and she enjoyed a host of friends. She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Mrs. Everett Noel, Mrs. B.L. Earley, and Miss Ethel Calfee, all of this city, and one brother, Granville Bailey, also of this city. The funeral service will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.S. Bullard of Tazewell, formerly of this city.
