Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Maria Michelle Turner, 41, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at her residence in Duson, Louisiana.Reverend Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will officiate the services. Musical selections will be, "My Heart Lives On", "The Rose", "I Can Only Imagine", "In A Little While" and "My Father's Eyes".

Survivors include two daughters, Tawny Bella Turner and Torilyn "Tori" Turner Melancon; one son, Tanith McKenzie Turner; her mother and step-father, Carolyn Dickson Albarado and Ronald Albarado; her fiancé', Randy Melancon; two sisters, Geraldine Romero and Pamella Blanco; one brother, Calvin Blanco, Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Birdie Dickson; her grandfather, James McKenzie Dickson; and her father, Leslie Irvin Turner.

A native of Alexandria, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Ms. Turner was a loving mother daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She loved art, poetry and music and also loved to cook and take care of others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Martin & Castille's Downtown, Lafayette, Louisiana was in charge of services.
