Obituary: Donald Lee Creacey, 81, died of coronary artery disease on May, 11, 2011 at his home in Arlington, Virginia. He was born in Mentone, CA on Feb. 9, 1930, the fifth son of Charles and Thelma Creacey. He graduated from Redlands High School in 1947. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Redlands in 1951 and joined the US Air Force. Don completed one year at Syracuse University in the Russian Program and became fluent in the oral and written Russian language. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1962 with the rank of Major. He furthered his education at UCLA earning his Master's degree in Government Economics and joined the CIA in 1965. Hon served in Russia as a senior analyst during the Russian's Army in Transition and contributed to the first installment of the Russian Defense Business Directory. He retired from the CIA in 1996 after serving 42 years of faithful service to the US Government. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Desmond. Survivors include brother Stanley of Ridgecrest, CA, Charles of Scottsburg, OR, Hubert and wife Marjorie of Sutherin, OR and 6 nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery.
