Aerospace Engineer. As President of Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation, his leadership was instrumental when the company's Lunar Module landed Americans on the Moon. He graduated from University of Michigan in 1944. After working his way from apprentice, he became Director of Operations at the Kennedy Space Center in 1965. He was elected president of Grumman Corporation in 1985 and retired the next year after 42 years. He died of pneumonia. At Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, the aeronautics building is named in honor of him, where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was Croatian descent.
