Anders Mentor Johansson was born on February 5, 1874, (per web), 1875 (on tombstone), Resö Östergård, to Johan Edvard Kristensson, (b. 1838,- d. 1918), and Paulina Malachina Larsdotter Kristensson, (b. 1849,- d. 1922).

Anders Mentor was married to Ida Maria Lind, (b. 11-20-1881,- d. 1966). They were married on 5-2-1902 Ida and Anders first rented the small house, which later became the Sion church in Gårdvik. In this house it is thought that Anker and Jens were born. All the other children are thought to have been born on Vattenholmen. This will be verified.
