Mr. Edward Kunert, who died at the city hospital, March 19, was for many years in the employee of the Mehler & Eckstenkemper Lumber Co. In January of the present year he went to live with his daughter, Mrs. George Luetzel, at Indianapolis. Returning here two weeks ago, his malady took a sudden turn for the worse and his death ensued earlier than was expected. His age was forty-five years. The last services were held over him at the undertaking establishment of Albert Neurath, on March 21, followed by interment in Cave Hill. Aside from the daughter already named, his wife, Mollie, nee Pape, and one son, Richard Kunert, survive him.

All records that I have located list his name as Edward M. Kunert. He and Amalia were married on 06 Aug 1888. Also, I have searched his grave site at Cave Hill and he is buried in an unmarked grave. Molly was my great grand aunt and Edward her husband.
