Confederate Calvary in 1862.
Captain and A.C.S. in the 3rd
NC Cal Jan 4,1863. Promoted to
Major Aug 18, 1863.
Lt. Colonel on Aug 10,
1864, 3rd NC Cal. Became Col in
charge after Col Baker was
captured around Petersburg on
June 21, 1864. The Unit fought
in Virginia and Eastern NC,
protecting the Railroads leading
to Virginia as best they could.
The unit fought in many
battles and skirmishs in North
Carolina and Virginia through
out the war.
