Major League Baseball Player. He was a Catcher and 1st Baseman who played for the Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers) of the National League and the Kansas City Packers of the Federal League. Starting off with the Minor League Kansas City Blues, he made his major league debut with a 15 game stint in 1913 for Brooklyn, in which he batted .324. He jumped to the newly formed Federal League for the 1914 season. Over the course of the next two seasons, he appeared mostly as a part-time player. After the Federal League collapsed he went on to manage several small town teams in the South Western League. He later when on to become a Kansas City Detective and a salesman. Suffering for weeks from depression because he was unemployed, he commited suicide on January 1927, 4 days before his 42nd birthday, He left a wife, an 18 year old daughter and 6 year old son. Over parts of 3 major league seasons he appeared in 123 games, batting .241 on 77 hits, with 2 Home Runs and 33 RBIs in 319 at bats.
