Father of John Stockman is not known. Mother is Lucy Pool Tarr Carney. Married(1) Sally Sayward Tarr, 28 Jan 1805; she d. 29 Feb 1844. 12 children. Married(2) Mary Parkhurst, wd. John Wonson, 10 June 1846. At that time he said he fa. was "John Stockman". 1 child. Started out as a mariner. Became a farmer c. 1804. Bought land in Rockport in 1804, 1807, 1814, and 1817.
