DON (Sonny) SEXTON of Otisville age 90 died Sunday April 3, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Hudson Funeral Service with Rev. Joseph Prance and Rev. Michael Cool officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-9 PM and Thursday 10 AM-9PM. Masonic Memorial Services will be held 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family. Don was born to Burl and Clara Sexton. He was married to Helen Prance in Flint in 1945. Don owned the Wagon Wheel Lounge from 1953 until retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Otisville Lodge 401 F&AM, Bay City Consistory, and Saginaw Elf Khurafeh. Don was a member of the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame. Don was a well noted musician most of his life. He loved his family and friends, being a great father and wonderful husband. Surviving is his wife: Helen, Children: Donna(Don)Barnett, Marsha(Will)Loree, Carol(Dee)Pierson, Donald(Janie)Sexton, Trulane(Kent)Fanson, Tami(Greg)Simon; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren 6 great-great-grandchildren, also a life long friend John Toth. He was preceded in death by daughter: Deborah; grandson: Corey; his parents; brothers: Riley, Otis and sister: Velma.
