VANCE, Pamela Sue [Clark], age 23, a resident of Fredericktown, died on the 27th of January, 1978, from weather exposure near Portage, Ohio, four miles outside of Bowling Green in Wood County, Ohio. It was reported by the Mount Vernon News that she and another man, Michael Roe, 25, Bowling Green, were found dead by the edge of a field near a road at 4:05 p.m. Saturday, both reportedly died from weather exposure. There was no suggestion how or why two healthy, young adults froze to death on the side of a road in a fairly populated area or why they were out walking in freezing conditions in the first place, both obviously without proper protective clothing. Pamela was born on the 23rd of March, 1954, the daughter of Donald E. 1928-2006 and Dorothy Clark. She was apparently a security guard for the Phoenix, Arizona airport. She was survived by her parents, four sisters, one brother and many other relatives of Fredericktown and Mount Vernon. Pamela is buried in the Forest Cemetery, Fredericktown, Ohio. @ Source: Copied from book, "Unnatural Cause in Knox County Ohio - Volume III 1950-2015" - by Todd J. Dean, 2015.
