He was the son of Elmer Looney and Lillie Mae (Knight) Looney, born August 19, 1951. In Toner, Kentucky.
Survivors are his wife, Vickie (Ellis) Looney and three children, Nathan Ray, II, Jeffery Leslie and Darla Elizabeth, all at home. His parents, Elmer and Lillie Mae Looney of McRoberts; two sisters: Patsy Allen of Bowling Green and Darla Mae Sexton of Jenkins; three brothers: Danny Looney of Jenkins, Elmer, Jr. of Kenosha, WI. And Darrell of Newark , CA.
Nathan served eight years in the United States Air Force. He later joined the staff of the Polly & Craft Funeral Home where he served his apprenticeship and then attended and graduated form the Mid- American College of Funeral Service. He was a member of the Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity; (a national honors mortician fraternity and was a Letcher County Deputy Coroner.
Interment in Laurel Fork Cemetery, Rt. 1 Jenkins, KY
