Lois A. Ring, 84, formerly of Salem, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011, in Leesburg, Va., where she has lived for the past eight years. She was retired from General Electric and was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse A. Ring. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dan F. and June E. Ring, of Fairfax; daughter and son-in-law, Helen R. and Dennis R. Dietrich, of Lovettsville; three grandchildren, Skylar Ring and Lara and Emily Dietrich; one great-grandchild, Arianna Rose Dietrich Williams; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Curtis Abbott, Bob and Clara Abbott, all of New Castle, and Jack and Geneva Abbott, of Sumter, S.C. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. James S. Angle officiating. Interment will follow in Huffman Memorial Park, New Castle. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those wishing to make memorials please consider the Huffman Memorial Park General Fund, c/o Robert Abbott, 42 Wagner St., New Castle, VA 24127. Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel.
