David "Hoss" Bostic of Wagoner, Oklahoma was born January 13, 1939 in Coolidge, Arizona to Ed and Ruby (Plunk) Bostic and passed away May 29, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church. He loved to Golf and was a member of Pryor Creek Golf Club. He loved to fish and was a founding member of the first B.A.S.S. club in Pennsylvania. He was an entrepreneur and was the owner
of Hoss Marine Propellers. He was a former racer of boats and was a designer and manufacturer of some of the most elite boat propellers in the world. He loved metal work starting at an early age and was a systems analyst for Bethlehem Steel. He was a preacher at a young age and preached revivals and has remained a devoted Christian. He was a guitar player. He was good with electronics and all kinds of craftsmanship. He built his own homes. He was a terrific father. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; one daughter, Arletta Bostic of Chouteau, OK; five sons, Tim Bostic and wife Jonetta of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Randy Bostic and wife Angela of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Jay Peer and wife Wendy of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Joe Peer of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Jere Peer of Norman, Oklahoma; one sister, Neoma Holladay of Locust Grove, OK; two brothers, Hyman Bostic and wife Thelma of Claremore, OK and Glen Bostic and wife Mary Ellen of Locust Grove, OK; seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Mallory-Martin Chapel, with Reverend Gary Woodson officiating. Burial will follow in Sallisaw Cemetery, under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
Pallbearers will be Tim Bostic, Randy Bostic, Jay Peer, Joe Peer, Jere Peer and Roger Bostic. Viewing 8am to 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
