Raymond Francis Albertson, at the age of 87, went to be with his Lord on May 30, 2011. He was born on Sept. 2, 1923, and moved from Croweburg KS to Coalton OK when he was in the 7th grade. Raymond had been in the Midwest City OK area since 1955 and was a member of Westminster Road Baptist Church in Midwest City. For many years he was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Midwest City, where he served on many committees and as a Deacon. Ray served our country in the United States Air Force and was an avid University of Oklahoma fan.

He is survived by his daughter Phyllis and son-in-law Byron Ramsey; daughter-in-law Judy Albertson; sisters Juanita Schwartz, Pat Machetta, Barbara Hammit, Norma Lorenz, and Ginger Nichols; grandchildren Tara and Tim Mohundro, Jason and Tara Albertson, and Tonya and Bobby Colbert; step-grandchildren Jeff and Holli Williams, and Sean and Jana Williams; great-grandchildren Janai Albertson and Byron Mohundro; and step-great-grandchildren Courtney Williams, Asher Williams, Brooke Williams, and Meghan Williams.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Mildred Griffin Albertson, son Bob Albertson, and brothers Bob Albertson and Ben Albertson.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011, at Advantage Mid-Del Chapel in Midwest City OK, with military burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with the family.
