Final rites for Glen Walter, Geneva native who passed away following a heart attack July 31, at Bangkok, Thailand, while on around the world tour, were held at Rupert, Idaho, Monday, August 7. Rupert had been his home since 1915. His brothers Gerald and Gale of Geneva received word of his passing August 1.

Glen was born in Geneva November 1, 1892. He was married at Rupert November 1, 1916, to Hilda Schmidt of Rupert and the couple spent their honeymoon in Geneva, returning to Rupert March 17, 1917.

Mr. Walton was a barber in Rupert more than 50 years. He and Mrs. Walton operated Walton's Barber and Beauty Shop until they retired about six years ago. Mrs. Walton passed away October 13, 1964.

Glen was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners; Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges; and Modern Woodmen.

survivors include three sons, Lyle Walton of Clearfield, Utah, Leo Walton in Saigon, South Vietnam, and Laron Walton in Lompoc, Cal.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Gerald and Gale Walton, both of Geneva, Neb.

funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday in Walk Mortuary Chapel in Rupert with District Judge Sherman Bellwood officiating. Committal rites were conducted by the Paul Masonic Lodge in the Rupert Cemetery.
