Charles Hadley Shaney
Charles Hadley Shaney, 92, of Hamilton, died on July 7, 2004, in Hamilton. He had been a farmer and truck driver, and lived in Caldwell County all of his life.
Born on July 30, 1911, in Nettleton, to John and Mary Schneiter Shaney, he had married Pauline Dungan in 1935. She passed away in 1973. In 1975, he married Dorothy McCrary, who survives of the home.
Hadley was also preceded in death by his parents, two daughters - Katherine and Mary; two brothers - John Samuel and Ernest Christian; four sisters - Ina Connor, Maurine Knecht, Mildred Carr and Jessye Cox; and a stepson, Steve McCrary.
Other survivors: two daughters - Dixie Crider, Clarksdale, and Polly Hindman, Maysville; stepchildren - Jack McCrary, Lee's Summit; Dixie McCrary and Dianne Brown, of Hamilton; three granddaughters, three great-grandsons, four great granddaughters, 12 step-grandchildren, 27 step great grandchildren, and three step great great grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Saturday, July 10, at New York Cemetery, southeast of Hamilton. Memorials to the cemetery.
