JONESPORT, MAINE – Lillian L. Huntley, 88, died Sept 14, 2009 at a Milbridge health care facility. She was born Feb. 23, 1921 in Beals, the daughter of Ewart G. and Mineola B. Lenfesty. Lillian loved cooking at church camps and lobster fishing with Jimmy. After her family was grown, she returned to college and graduated as an educator. She worked as a nursing home administrator and for the Department of Human Services. She was well known for her doughnuts, biscuits, pies and jams. She was the winner of the first Tall Barney contest. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch, Sunset. She is survived by her son, E. Ray Huntley and wife, Sonya, of Ellsworth, daughter, Eva Faulkingham of Jonesport; brothers, Chester Lenfesty and wife, Margaret of Rockland, Verlon Lenfesty of Beals, and Wilfred Lenfesty and wife, Olive, of Beals; sisters, Aleman Alley and friend, Archie Alley of Beals, Adele Alley and husband, Joey of Columbia Falls, and Joyce Alley and husband, Ralph, of Beals; grandchildren, Gordon and Cathy Faulkingham, Raymond and Erin Young, Karmen Young, Brenda and Carl Kelley, Holly and Virgil Plaisted; and special great-grandchildren in her life, Dean, Joshua and Matthew Faulkingham, Sarah and Anna young. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James W. Huntley; her daughters, Maxine and Jeannie; and her sister Lavonnie. Friends are invited to call 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept 17, at Church of Jesus Christ, The Lamb of God, Main Street, West Jonesport, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Interment will be at Sewald Field Cemetery, Beals.
