She was born Feb. 16, 1941 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Mark and Santa (Spina) Speziale.
A lifelong resident of the area, Arlene was a graduate of Dunkirk High School.
She previously had been employed at The Better Spot Restaurant in Dunkirk and Fredonia State University College.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Church and Dunkirk Moose Lodge 89.
Survivors include her aunts, Josephine (Peter) Spina Morgan of Jamestown and Angela (Anthony) Castle of Roswell, N.M.; her devoted cousin, Richard (Maria) Morgan of Waynesville, N.C.; and several other cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David D. Sullivan, who died Feb. 4, 1999; and her cousin, Rocky Morgan.
