You had five sons (four with your first wife) and a fifth son with your second wife (Polly b: 1810) who was thirty years younger. Thomas J. Baggett lived and died in Harrison co. Miss. Michael stayed in Florida before you got to Mississippi, and the other three & their wives came to Louisiana after your death.

In the 1850 U.S. Census (Harrison co, Mississippi), you were 70 yrs old, & lived near your three sons of your first wife as seen on the handwritten census pages found on the www. Your fifth son was with your second wife Polly, who was Thomas J. Baggett. He lived & died in Harrison Co (Now Stone Co) Mississippi. You had a son that was born & stayed in Florida (before you came to Mississippi) and he became a Minister of the Gospel there. All five of your sons have been accounted for.

You died in Harrison Co after 1850, near what we now know as I-10 close to Biloxi & Bay St. Louis, Mississippi where your youngest son (Thomas J. Baggett) had lived and died there. Your sons Andrew B. Baggett, Milton Brown Baggett Sr, & Joshua B. Baggett went to Southwest Louisiana with their family & settled in Calcasieu Parish which later became Beauregard Parish & Allen Parish after 1912. The four Baggett brothers had married four Evans sisters while in Mississippi.

You would have been really happy had you been able to anticipate the many decendants that came after you....

I am very grateful for the valuable family info shared, by the 'cousins' (related directly or indirectly) that either found me or I found them through my 'Baggett Family' entries on Find A Grave.com. They were Connie, Dennis, Marilyn & Lawrence. Connie's mother was a Baggett, Dennis' Great grandmother was a Baggett & Marilyn was born a Baggett.

*Marilyn's Great grandfather was the brother of my Great Grandfather who goes back to Joshua B. Baggett.

How I hope that those who follow this family link that I've put together, can only grasp the ideas, standards & values that the families that were before us lived by.
