CORINTH - Katy B. Strickland, 72, died Nov. 15, 2008, at her residence. She was a native of Tishomingo County, a graduate of Holcut High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College. She was a member of Foote Street Church of Christ since 1969 and was an active and lifetime member of Freed-Hardeman Associates. She served in the ministry beside her late husband, Minister Travis Strickland. She was a caregiver to her mother and sisters and always enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, cooking for her family, working in her flowers and birdwatching, especially humming birds.

She was retired from Belks of Corinth.

Survivors include two daughters, Cassandra Weathers (Jackie) of Corinth and Felicia Odle (Finace Dennis Williams) of Corinth; four sisters, Jo Ann Broussard of Bursville, Mary Bobo of Burnesville, Bertha South of Corinth and Barbara Harbinson of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren, Brandon Odle, Josh Odle, Katelyn Yau (Patch), all of Corinth, Kodi Ford of Pangburn, Ark. and Kelsey Ford of Corinth; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Steven Bobo, Patrick Bobo, Brandon Odle, Josh Odle, Benjamin South and Clay Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister; five brothers; and her parents, L.B. and Jimmie Bobo.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight and will continue from 1 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
