Ida Mae Blair
COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Ida Mae Blair, 76, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, May 1, from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blair went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29, 2011, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 8, 1934, in Putnam County to the late Isham and Liza Harville Grogan.
Mrs. Blair worked for many years at Wilson Sporting Goods and was a member of Baxter First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for more than 40 years. Sister Blair loved to help others in need.
Her family includes two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Connie Blair of Lebanon and Jerry and Carlene Blair of Cookeville; four grandsons, Chad, Christopher, Gabriel and Stephen Blair; a brother, Isham Grogan of Cookeville; and a sister, Daisy Frances Staggs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Wesley Blair; two brothers, James and Arthur Grogan; and a sister, Jewell Harville.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Bros. Ernest and Christopher Blair will officiate at the services.
