Mr. Arthur (Linton) Wyatt

Mr. Arthur (Linton) Wyatt, 93, of 158 Old Hightower Trail, Ball Ground, GA, died Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Hospice House, Cumming, GA, after a fulfilling life as God's faithful servant.
Born November 22, 1914 in Ball Ground, GA, he was the last surviving of six sons of the late Samuel S. Wyatt and Leola Pearl Smithwick Wyatt of Ball Ground. Brothers included the late Andrew Cleveland Wyatt of Birmingham, AL; the late Samuel Clinton Wyatt of Austell, GA; the late Mathel Dewey Wyatt of Canton, GA; the late Hawkins Grady Wyatt of Canton, GA; and the late James Toy Wyatt of Canton, GA.
He was a loving husband to the late Winnie Grace Buffington Wyatt to whom he was married for over 71 years. Together they built and maintained a home with love and hard work and taught their children to love God, value family, and serve their community. A life-long resident of Cherokee County, he worked as a farmer and was an employee of the Canton Cotton Mill and Cantex before retiring from Western Electric. He was a member of Hightower Baptist Church in Ball Ground, GA, for over 80 years. He served as a church clerk, pianist, Sunday school teacher, church keeper and was a church deacon for 58 years.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Wendell Hardeman of Cumming, GA; son-in-law, Cliff Perkins of Williamston, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Glenda Wyatt of Ball Ground, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Karen Wyatt of Ball Ground, GA; and daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Eston Collett of Cumming, GA; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Perkins of Williamston, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2008 from the Hightower Baptist Church with Rev. Gerral Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 21st from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home in Canton, GA.
