Rachel Carolyn Hardy, age 81, of Silver Spring, MD. She graduated from Queens College and married Amos in July, 1952. She was a member of the original staff when Northwood HS in Silver Spring opened in 1956. At Northwood she taught Home Economics until she retired in the 1970's. Later, she began substitute teaching at Paint Branch and Montgomery Blair HS's. A memorial service will be held on February 26 at Northwood Presbyterian Church, Silver Spring, MD.
