September 6, 1928 – May 30, 2011

We are sad to announce the passing of George Bartelds on Monday, May 30, 2011.

George was born in Kampen, Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1956. He had a zest for travelling and a passion for his family. George will be mourned by friends and relatives in both Holland and Canada.

He is survived by his wife Wilhelmina ‘Willie' Bartelds; daughter Ann Schaan (Kerry); son John Bartelds (Dawn); and grandchildren, Samantha, Marcus, Cassie, Neil, Dale, and Zeb. He is also survived by his sister Annie (Piet) Woning and brother Willem (Marry) Bartelds. He was predeceased by his sister Marie Leemburg.
