MACON – Eleanor B. Mallard, 85, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Waldorf and the Rev. John Irwin officiating. .

Mrs. Mallard was born in Putnam County and was a graduate of Eatonton High School and South Georgia College. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and was a member and a past president of the Exchangette Club of Macon. Mrs. Mallard retired in 1984 as patient auditor at Fairfax County Hospital, Fairfax, VA.

Mrs. Mallard is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Bill Mallard; her son, Steven (Lucy) Burke of Odum, GA; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche and Margie; a brother, Sidney and a number of nieces and nephews.

A very special and loving thank you is extended to Eleanor's caregivers, Eloise Solomon, Dora Clayton and Lisa Horton who have become part of our family and the family also wants to thank the staff of Pine Pointe Hospice for their care and gentle consideration for Eleanor.
