He and Aunt Polly had 3 children, a set of twins that died in infancy and a daughter, Wanda Gail.
He and Big Daddy (his father, Brantley C. George), farmed about 40 acres.
After Big Daddy passed away, Uncle Arthur bought a service station and worked there for several years. He loved working on cars. He also loved to go fishing.
He was more quiet than his brother Archie, but did have a dry sense of humor. In later years, he enjoyed visiting with family. The last time I visited, he kept asking "Why don't ya'll stay over?" and "When are ya'll coming back?" He seemed to feel the need to be around family. I only wish I could have spent more time really getting to know him.
