Emigrated in 1843 the year after 4 of their six sons made the journey from Hamburg to New York to Cedarburg, WI. He, his wife Eleanor Christina and their two sons who had been detained due to their commitment in the services, came via the ship, Barque Hualco that landed in New York from Hamburg Aug 21st 1843. Their only daughter, Christine, married to John Suelow made the journey with the first 4 sons, but unfortunately Christine who was pregnant with their third child died inroute along with their newborn and were burid at sea. Her husband and their son and daughter survived.
