Frank Prieto, 81, of Palm Springs, California, passed away on May 22, 2011 in Rancho Mirage, California.
He was born June 8, 1929 to Frank Prieto Sr. and Margaret Mendoza in Banning, California. Frank served in the U.S. Navy before marrying Dora Joyce Welmas on April 3, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the owner and operator of Palm Springs Gunite A Go-Go for forty years.
Frank is survived by daughter, Diana M. Richards of Palm Springs; sons, Michael Prieto, Damon Prieto, Philip Prieto, and Dana Prieto, all of Palm Springs; sisters, Dorothy Avila of Indio, California and Helen Leon of Colton, California; brother, Oscar Prieto of Thousand Palms, California; as well as eighteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Prieto; son, Frank Prieto III; son, Brian Prieto; and daughter, Jeannette Prieto-Dodd.
A visitation will be held on June 2, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Palm Springs. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 3, 2011 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Palm Springs.
Interment will follow the services at Jane Augustine Patencio Cemetery in Palm Springs.
