Died of wounds received in WWII during The Battle of Overloon, Overloon, Holland

The Battle of Overloon was waged from Sept. 26 to Oct. 18, 1944. Nearly 2,500 soldiers and hundreds of civilians died in the battle.

7th Armored Infantry Division, 48th Battalion, Company A

Rank: PFC
MOS: 504, Ammo Bearer

Son of Roswell Albert Williams & Jennie Jane Williams.

Julian graduated from Murphysboro Township High School in 1933. He was studying to be an architect in Chicago, Illinois when he was drafted. We think he married shortly before he left to go overseas, however no one in the family can remember her name and all of his pay during the war from the Army came to his parents so I'm not sure that rumor is true.
